Bluntspeakers - Kill All Hipsters
Beat-maker Bluntspeakers has posted a massive track on his Soundcloud, which is up for free download. "Kill All Hipsters" is a teaser for his upcoming album "Lublin" which should probably also be massive. Check the track below and grab the free download here before its too late.

Evil Needle - Cirrostratus
Remember that producer Evil Needle, with his track Lo-Fi Dreams? This time hes back with Cirrostratus, an LP of smooth beats, available for free here. There isnt anything too progressive here, but it is a very good beat CD you can cotch to. You can preview the whole thing below via his bandcamp.

Lotek - Control Alt Delete
Really like the creativity behind this. Sick beat, joke lyrics and a nice video to go with it. You can buy this track over at Lotek's bandcamp.
Dark Sunrise
A long while back I came across a track by the name of "Dark Sunrise", off of an album by the same name. Been playing it again recently, so decided you (yes, you) should start playing it too. The group beind the track is "Rikki Ililonga & Musi-O-Tunya", a Zambian group who clearly decided on a catchy name. You can download the track for free here, and you can buy/preview the rest of the album here. I havent myself listened to the album yet to tell you if its any good, but I will get round to it as I love the title track.

Tyler The Creator - Yonkers
Heard this the other day, and the track and the video are both massive. If you're feeling it, support the sound by buying it, its out now. Tyler's album Goblins is set to be released on May 16th so make sure you check that too. Lil Silva has done a remix you can download for free here, but the original is a lot better in my opinion.

Wolf Haley, Golf Wang
[Verse 1]
I'm a fuckin' walkin' paradox, no I'm not
Threesomes with a fuckin' triceratops, Reptar
Rappin' as I'm mockin' deaf rock stars
Wearin' synthetic wigs made of Anwar's dreadlocks
Bedrock, harder than a muthafuckin' Flintstone
Makin' crack rocks outta pussy nigga fishbones
This nigga Jasper tryna get grown
About 5'7" of his bitches in my bedroom
Swallow the cinnamon, I'mma scribble this sinnin' shit
While Syd is tellin' me that she's been gettin' intimate with men
(Syd, shut the fuck up) Here's the number to my therapist
(Shit) Tell him all your problems, he's fuckin' awesome with listenin'
[Verse 2]
Jesus called, he said he's sick of the disses
I told him to quit bitchin' and this isn't a fuckin' hotline
For a fuckin' shrink, sheesh I already got mine
And he's not fuckin' workin', I think I'm wastin' my damn time
I'm clockin' three past six and goin' postal
This the revenge of the dicks, that's nine cocks that cock nines
This ain't no V Tech shit or Columbine
But after bowlin', I went home for some damn Adventure Time
(What'd you do?) I slipped myself some pink Zannies
And danced around the house in all-over print panties
My mom's gone, that fuckin' broad will never understand me
I'm not gay, I just wanna boogie to some Marvin
(What you think of Hayley Williams?) Fuck her, Wolf Haley robbin' 'em
I'll crash that fuckin' airplane that that faggot nigga B.o.B is in
And stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus
And won't stop until the cops come in
I'm an over acheiver, so how 'bout I start a team of leaders
And pick up Stevie Wonder to be the wide receiver?
Green paper, gold teeth and pregnant gold retrievers
All I want, fuck money, diamonds and bitches, don't need 'em
But where the fat ones at? I got somethin' to feed 'em
In some cookin' books, the black kids never wanted to read 'em
Snap back, green ch-ch-chia fuckin' leaves
It's been a couple months, and Tina still ain't perm her fuckin' weave , damn

DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist - Brainfreeze
This mixtape is sick. Brainfreeze is a recording of a live rehearsal session of these two pioneering DJs, for a collaboration show they were doing in 1999. A mix of rare soul 45s, hip-hop classics, breakbeats and the kind of soundscape tracks Shadow is infamous for sampling, this is really not to be missed. Turntablism at its finest, this is an incredible display of live creativity from the pair. It is very, very unfortunate though, that there is no tracklist for this mixtape.

Slugabed Remix of Dangerous
Not-that-new Slugabed track up for grabs people. Its a remix (or should I say reMAX! *snort*) of Busta Rhymes' "Dangerous" and its pretty darn good. Emphasis on the darn. Check it below and download it for free here.
Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow
When it comes to psych rock, I like a lot of what I hear, but have never really explored the genre as a whole. Anyway, I found Surrealistic Pillow, a Jefferson Airplane album, the other day after watching Fear and Loathing (again). Even if you dont recognise the name, you've probably heard the classic "Somebody To Love" before. I've only skimmed through the album once, but it is very good, so I shall review it as and when.
Tracklist:
1. She Has Funny Cars
2. Somebody To Love
3. My Best Friend
4. Today
5. Comin' Back To Me
6. 3/5 of a Mile in 10 Seconds
7. D. C. B. A.-25
8. How Do You Feel
9. Embryonic Journey
10. White Rabbit
11. Plastic Fantastic Lover

Alphabet with Lou Rawls
Saw this video the other day and was immensely disappointed. Disappointed that ALL education was not like this. If this was the method they'd used to teach English the whole way through school, I would have paid so much more attention. But no. Instead of investing in Lou Rawls, they invested in textbooks. Stupid education system. RIP Lou Rawls, you have me appreciating the ABC far more than I ever have done before.

Elzhi - Verbal Intercourse Pt. 2 [Prod. by 14KT]
So, one of the very best emcees around at the moment (in my opinion) recently dropped a track, Verbal Intercourse Pt 2, which some of you may recognise as a 14KT beat, from the free instrumental release Nowalataz (check it if you haven't already). As ever, Elzhi spits with an unrivalled skill, warning aspiring artists about the music industry, mentioning his departure from Slum Village. Thanks to KevinNottingham for the heads up on this one.
Lyrics:
Yeah
This goes out to everybody that's trying to get on
Think they're gonna get rich
Take notes, yo
Through the lights, camera and action
Glamour, glitters and gold
Here's a warning to anybody that considers this road
Of riches, filled with jewelry, cars and thirsty bitches
Crooked contracts, the close friends who switches
Elbowin' you when things go sour
Around y'all
It's called a downfall 'cause it brings more showers
But don't forget the rain in the spring grows flowers
And causes you to rise where a king shows power
And it's not easy
You got a measly one shot
To be hot up in the game
That over time had got sleazy
Major labels wanna judge you off your last record
Then design something you can sign, to fuck you ass naked
That can turn your 15 minutes into last seconds
Take it from somebody with a past chequered as mine
I was in a group around '99
A rapper since eight, thought it was great
To be finally signed
But little did I know I made a huge mistake
I found out the label and the manager was fake
And the person that betrayed me the most was my partner
Though all three would be the reason for my departure
I'm thinking to myself
"How you let the mouse march ya?"
Nobody warned me like I'm warning you
Happy, aren't ya?
But imma show'em
That it was nice to know 'em
Or maybe I should hoe them
And throw them in a poem
'cause they think that I'm below them
Just wait until my shit drop
'cause I got a drive that don't slow down for pit stops
And this one goes to my aspirin' artists
With the fire in their eyes
To reach higher and farthest in the skies
May every move you make be wise
And may every mistake
You can take and reprise
You only get one shot
It's not like you get three tries
To rise like G5s
and I'm out...
Yeah
This how it goes, yo
Read between the lines
Make sure your paperwork's straight, get your attorneys
You don't wanna be like me, yo
Sign a bullshit contract
Fuck that
Get your own
For all my aspiring artists out there

Lorn has made some of his previously unreleased work available, via his Facebook. You can download the new compilation, entitled "Self Confidence Vol. 2", here. In case you missed it, you can also check Self Confidence Vol. 1, although you have to download the files individually, which is a longting.

Summery Sunday
So its been ridiculously summery over the past few days here, so obviously been blasting out the summer tunes. Heres my pick for today, the perfect lazing in the sun with some beer, Sunday track...

Deft
So let me tell you a little secret. Deft is wedge. And I'm not talking your standard run-of-the-mill wedgeliness. Imagine The Rock. Now imagine The Rock after eating popeye's spinach. You're still not even close. This guys production is seriously heavyweight, and his new remix of FaltyDL's Brazil is just next hype. Check out the track below and if you like what you hear, head over to his Soundcloud for more. You might also want to check his track "Paradise" on Disconnected Sounds' new release, available here at Chemical-Records.

New Burial
Here is Burial - Street Halo, Burials new 3-track EP. I was blown away by Untrue, Burials second LP, it was one of those albums that I could not get enough of when I got it. And I firmly believe it remains a stone cold classic. However, since then I have been quite bored by his efforts as he has never really progressed his sound. I have not yet listened to this EP, and I really hope that this time he has made his style more progressive, because this could be something special. It is out now, and if youre feeling it, support the sound by buying it.

Evil Needle - Lo-Fi Dreams
Don't know too much about this producer, but I heard this Evil Needle joint the other day and it is unbelievably good. Will definitely keep an eye out for anything new coming from this bre. Check out his Soundcloud if you're feeling this one.
